Visible climate action in every car park
Cities, local authorities and public bodies have access to a wide range of spaces, including public and private car parks. Make the most of these spaces and use them for two purposes: as car parking spaces for residents and, at the same time, as a solar power system to meet their own diverse electricity needs. UV.carports are carports with integrated solar panels that make cities, local authorities and public institutions less dependent on electricity prices and visibly drive forward local decarbonisation. Furthermore, UV.carports effectively protect vehicles in public car parks from the elements, particularly from overheating and hail damage. As effective shade providers, they noticeably enhance public infrastructure and serve as a visible symbol of local responsibility.
Parking spaces are becoming charging points
To cater for the growing number of electric vehicles, you should make the most of the option to upgrade UV.carports into electric charging stations. The technology housed in the roof of the UV.carports enables each individual UV.carport to be turned into a public charging point. Their unique design also provides reliable protection against vandalism.
UV.carports are connected to one another via a plug-in system, thus forming a large network of small-scale electricity suppliers. This helps towns and local authorities to achieve their climate targets and live up to their role as role models.

Financing
-
What financing options are available?
We have developed three financing options to offer a financially viable solution for everyone.
The most commonly used option is the so-called Power Purchase Agreement (PPA): UV.energy builds the system, and the customer receives the solar power generated by the system under a long-term, reliable contract.
Those who wish to own and use the PV power plant immediately should opt for the direct purchase: UV.energy designs, supplies and installs the system for immediate use. You receive a clear price with no hidden costs and can get started straight away.
If you would like to own a system from UV.energy but cannot or do not wish to opt for a direct purchase, you can choose to finance the system through UV.energy. Together with a reliable financial partner, we can make this option available to you. Please get in touch!
-
How much does a system cost?
The total cost of a facility depends on the number of UV.carports. There are also costs associated with soil testing. In order to plan a UV.carport facility and implement the project cost-effectively, we require a minimum of 10 spaces. You will receive a project proposal, including a guide price, once the planning has been finalised on our calculator.
Design
-
Will all the cars fit in the car park?
UV.carports are designed to accommodate even tall and wide vehicles. The height is sufficient to accommodate even small vans and motorhomes. The width of a UV.carport is flexible and, as standard, covers parking bay widths from 2.30 m to 2.70 m. The clear height of the UV.carport system is 3.00 m at the rear of the supports and approximately 3.15 m at the front.

-
How is the electricity connected?
The power cables and all other technical components are integrated into the roof of the UV.carports. All the necessary connections are pre-configured here, so that the individual UV.carports can be linked together using a simple and secure plug-in system. The inverters are mounted on the rear of the carports at a safe height or, on request, can be grouped together in the vicinity of the parking area to ensure better access, for example for maintenance. If the electricity from the photovoltaic systems is to be used within a building, we will work with you to plan the necessary installation and cabling.
Benefits
-
Is there a minimum size for a carport?
UV.carport has been developed to transform large infrastructure sites into energy infrastructure. The system therefore really comes into its own over larger areas. Optimal performance is achievable with a minimum of 10 units. Furthermore, UV.carport can be expanded indefinitely.
-
Can UV.carport also be used to charge electric cars?
Even in their standard configuration, UV.carports are already future-proofed for charging electric cars. For you, this means you can easily upgrade your UV.carport to an electric charging station at any time—or order it that way from the start. It’s reassuring to know that we designed the structure from the ground up to be vandal-proof.
-
Which areas are suitable?
Ideally, the site for a UV.carport installation should provide space for at least 10 carports, plus the necessary manoeuvring space for the vehicles. It is also important to have a load-bearing surface to ensure that the ground anchors are firmly secured. UV.energy will carry out a professional ground assessment on your behalf.

The energy transition in the blink of an eye
We are rethinking local energy generation. Simple, scalable and, above all, achievable. For a rapid and effective energy transition led by businesses, local authorities and infrastructure operators.
vision
Assembly in no time at all
Transforming public car parks into visible solar power plants and upgrading the infrastructure is also quick and easy to implement. For installation and connection, only individual sections of the total area need to be closed off for a short period at a time. Public use remains largely undisturbed. The prefabricated UV.carports are delivered by lorry and erected. Thanks to ground anchors, installation is a breeze. The technical installation using the pre-prepared plug-in system takes just a few minutes per UV.carport. Simply work out the figures!
Fast-track planning and approval
UV.carports are already in the fast lane when it comes to planning and installation. Using satellite technology and AI, we plan UV.carports for your town or local authority quickly and thoroughly, and we carry out the necessary stability tests on the ground ourselves. Permits can be processed through fast-track procedures, as UV.carports do not require concrete foundations but are secured to the ground using ground anchors. This allows local authorities to demonstrate that procedures can be carried out quickly and effectively.a
